Terms and Conditions

By registering for seminars or retreats, purchasing courses on bodhiactivity.com or gomde.dk, or making donations to Gomde (through the Association Rangjung Yeshe Sangha), you (“Participant,” “User,” or “Donor”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”).

1. Definitions and Scope

1.1 “Gomde,” “We,” “Us,” “Our”
Refers to Rangjung Yeshe Gomde Denmark and its affiliated entities that organize, host, and operate seminars, workshops, retreats, and online platforms, including Karuna Workshop seminars and bodhiactivity.com.

1.2 “Services”
Refers collectively to all in-person seminars, retreats, workshops, online courses, and related offerings provided by or in affiliation with Gomde.

1.3 “Participant,” “You,” “User,” or “Donor”
Refers to any individual who registers for, attends, or otherwise engages with the Services, or makes donations to Gomde or the Association Rangjung Yeshe Sangha.

1.4 “Agreement” or “Contract”
Denotes the legally binding relationship between Gomde and You, as governed by these T&Cs.

These definitions apply throughout this document.

2. Registration, Payment, and Cancellation (In-Person Seminars)

2.1 Scope
These provisions apply to all in-person seminars, workshops, and retreats offered by Gomde or Karuna Workshop.

2.2 Registration and Payment

• Your registration is complete when Gomde receives your full or partial payment as specified on our website or registration materials.
• If partial payments are allowed, the outstanding balance must be settled by the stated deadlines.

2.3 Cancellation and Refunds

• More Than One Month in Advance: Canceling more than thirty (30) days prior to the start of a seminar entitles you to a full refund of the seminar fee, minus an administrative charge of €30.
• Less Than 30 Days in Advance: Canceling fewer than thirty (30) days prior to the start entitles you to a 50% refund of the seminar fee.
• No-Shows and Early Departures: If you do not attend (“no-show”) or leave a seminar early, no refund will be issued, and you will be charged the full fee.

2.4 Ad Hoc Accommodations
As a gesture of goodwill, Gomde may allow you to transfer your fees to a future event. This is at Gomde’s sole discretion and is not guaranteed by these T&Cs.

2.5 Right to Modify or Cancel Seminars

• Gomde reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a seminar for any valid reason (e.g., insufficient enrollment, instructor unavailability, or force majeure).
• If an event is canceled entirely by Gomde, you are entitled to receive a full refund.

3. Terms for BodhiActivity.com and Online Courses

3.1 Scope
These terms apply to any online retreats or course content offered through bodhiactivity.com.

3.2 Satisfaction Guarantee (Trial Period)
If you are dissatisfied with the online course content, you must notify Gomde within one (1) week of purchase. Gomde will issue a refund of the course fee upon timely notification. This provision does not affect any statutory consumer rights you may have.

3.3 Access to Purchased Courses

• Ongoing Access: Gomde will make reasonable efforts to provide access to your purchased course(s) while the current platform remains operational.
• Right to Modify Offerings: Gomde reserves the right to modify, discontinue, or replace any aspect of its course offerings or platform at its discretion.

3.4 Acceptable Use of Online Materials

• License: Purchasing an online course grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use course materials for personal, non-commercial purposes.
• Restrictions: You may not copy, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from any course material without explicit written permission from Gomde.
• Enforcement: Gomde may suspend or terminate your course access without refund if you breach these usage restrictions. Additional legal remedies may also be pursued.

4. Terms and Conditions for Donations

4.1 Recipient of Donations
All donations are received by the Association Rangjung Yeshe Sangha, authorized by the Danish Ministry of Culture to accept donations on behalf of Gomde.

4.2 Payment Methods and Security
Donations may be made via the GiveWP plugin, bank transfer, or MobilePay, with secure third-party processors like Stripe, PayPal, and banking institutions handling financial transactions.

4.3 Danish Tax Deduction

• Eligibility: Danish citizens may be entitled to a tax deduction of up to 15,000 DKK per calendar year.
• CPR Number: If you wish to claim this deduction, you must provide your CPR number. Gomde will handle communications with tax authorities as required.
• Data Protection: Refer to our GDPR Privacy for how personal data, including CPR numbers, is protected and processed.

4.4 No Cash Donations
Cash donations are not accepted by Gomde.

4.5 Anonymous Donations
Anonymous donations are permitted provided no single anonymous donation exceeds 20,000 DKK, in accordance with Danish law.

4.6 Voluntary Nature
Donations are voluntary and are not payments for goods, services, or benefits, per Danish regulations.

5. Health and Safety (In-Person Events)

5.1 Participant Responsibility
Certain Gomde events include meditative or physical activities. You agree to disclose any physical or mental health conditions that could affect your safe participation.

5.2 Right to Decline Participation
Gomde reserves the right to refuse or revoke your attendance if your condition or conduct presents a risk to yourself or others or significantly disrupts the group’s well-being.

5.3 No Medical Liability
Gomde is not responsible for providing medical care, diagnosis, or treatment during events. You should consult medical professionals if you have health concerns prior to attending.

5.4 Photography and Media Use

• Use of Images: By attending events, seminars, or retreats at Gomde, you acknowledge that photos and videos may be taken during activities and used for promotional, archival, or educational purposes on our websites, social media, and printed materials.
• Opt-Out Option: If you do not wish to appear in such photos or videos, it is your responsibility to notify us in writing prior to or during the event. We will make reasonable efforts to honor your request, but we cannot guarantee exclusion from group or crowd photos.
• Data Protection Compliance: All media content is handled in compliance with GDPR and Danish privacy laws.

6. Limitation of Liability and Disclaimers

6.1 No Guarantee of Results
All events, courses, and related materials are provided on an “as is” basis. Gomde does not guarantee any particular outcome or benefit from participation.

6.2 Indirect Damages
To the extent permitted by law, Gomde is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from or related to your use of its Services or any donations.

6.3 Force Majeure
Gomde is not liable for delays or failures in performance due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, such as natural disasters, strikes, or government actions.

7. Code of Conduct

7.1 Expected Behavior
You agree to behave respectfully toward teachers, staff, and fellow participants at all times, whether attending in-person events or participating in online courses or forums.

7.2 Prohibited Conduct
Any form of harassment, discrimination, aggression, or other disruptive behavior is strictly prohibited. Violators may be asked to leave an event or have their access revoked without refund.

7.3 Compliance with Rules
You must adhere to any additional guidelines, policies, or rules established by Gomde, including instructions given by event staff or posted on Gomde’s websites.

7.4 Right to Remove or Exclude
Gomde reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to remove or exclude individuals who violate these T&Cs or otherwise compromise the safety and integrity of our community.

8. Right to Modify or Cancel Events

8.1 Schedule Modifications
Gomde may modify event schedules, locations, or content (including instructor changes) due to operational requirements or unavoidable circumstances.

8.2 Cancellation by Gomde
If Gomde cancels an event entirely, you will receive a full refund of any registration fees paid unless you wish to give the amount to Gomde.

8.3 Notice
We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes by email or via our official website.

9. Dispute Resolution

9.1 Initial Contact
If you have questions, concerns, or complaints, please contact Gomde at gomde@gomde.dk. We aim to resolve any disputes promptly and amicably.

9.2 Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These T&Cs are governed by the laws of Denmark without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising hereunder shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Danish courts, unless mandatory consumer protection laws specify otherwise.

10. Intellectual Property

10.1 Ownership
All trademarks, logos, content, and materials used or provided by Gomde remain the exclusive property of Gomde or its licensors. No rights or licenses are granted except for those expressly stated in these T&Cs.

10.2 Permission to Use
Unless otherwise authorized in writing, you may not use Gomde’s name, logo, or proprietary materials for commercial or public-facing activities.

11. Changes to These Terms

11.1 Right to Modify
Gomde may update or amend these T&Cs to reflect changes in Services, legal requirements, or internal policies. Any such changes will be noted by revising the “Last Updated” date above.

11.2 Notice and Acceptance
Material changes will be posted on our website or communicated via email. Continued participation in seminars, online courses, or further donations after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated T&Cs.
